On May 22, 2026, the Tajikistan-Azerbaijan Business Forum was held at the Baku Business Center on the sidelines of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan on Economic and Trade Cooperation. Farhodshoh Rahmonali Rahmonalizoda, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, attended and addressed the event.

In his speech, F. R. Rahmonalizoda noted that as a result of the consistent and constructive efforts of the heads of both states — the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, His Excellency Ilham Aliyev — relations between the two countries in all fields have reached a qualitatively new level.

During his address, the Chairman of the Chamber highly commended the rapid growth of bilateral trade turnover in 2025 and its positive trend in the first quarter of 2026, emphasizing that a vast amount of unused economic potential still exists between the sides.

Furthermore, the Chairman of the Chamber described the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the Tajikistan-Azerbaijan Business Council, signed on the sidelines of the joint events, as important and timely for expanding and increasing the volume of bilateral trade. He noted that it will serve as a bridge and a permanent tool for the private sector.

At the same time, F. R. Rahmonalizoda pointed out that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan unites over 1,200 members and stands ready to directly coordinate relations between the entrepreneurs of both countries across all business sectors.

Concluding his speech, the Chairman of the Chamber invited the entire business community of Azerbaijan to participate in the International Exhibition "Inter Health and Beauty Tajikistan 2026," which will take place on June 18-20 this year in Dushanbe.
