On December 10, 2025, a working meeting of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held via videoconference by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan.
On December 10, 2025, a working meeting of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held via videoconference by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan.
Participants included representatives of the CIS
Executive Committee, JSC VDNKh, the Skolkovo Foundation, and experts and
specialists from the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Armenia, Belarus,
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan (Sughd and Khatlon
regions), and Uzbekistan.
Participants learned about the activities of the
Chambers of Commerce and Industry for 2025, and events and initiatives aimed at
supporting the development of the private sector and entrepreneurship in the
CIS countries were announced.
Topics discussed included:
- participation of the Chamber system in the
implementation of the Interstate Program for Innovative Cooperation of the CIS
Member States through 2030;
- mutual application of electronic systems for the
country of origin certificate;
- marking of goods with identification tools and
implementation of the system in the CIS countries. Mutual application of
marking codes between countries.
Strengthening the activities of the CIS's Chambers of
Commerce and Industry in the SCO by forming industry working groups within the
SCO Business Council was also discussed.
An exchange of opinions and experiences took place on
current issues related to business development, export procedures, and the
expansion of trade and economic relations between countries.
Many proposals voiced during the meeting will be
included in the Work Plan of the Council of Heads of Chambers of the CIS Member
States for 2026.
The meeting participants demonstrated interest and
readiness for further inter-chamber cooperation, regular information exchange,
and the organization and conduct of joint events aimed at developing and
bringing together the business communities of the CIS countries.
