Opening of the first store of the “Tajikzamin” brand within the framework of the “One Village - One Product” initiative in Tajikistan

On January 26, 2026, the opening ceremony of the first store of the “Tajikzamin” brand, established within the framework of the “One Village - One Product” initiative, was held in Dushanbe.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Tajikistan Ms. Furuta Keiko, Senior Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Yoshikawa Yoshifumi, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahmonalizoda Farhodshoh Rahmonali, as well as representatives of state bodies, international organizations, the private sector and local manufacturers.

During the event, new original products of the “Tajikzamin” brand were presented, as well as a wide range of high-quality products from small local manufacturers from cities and districts of the country. These products include organic food, beekeeping products, folk crafts, and natural cosmetics and accessories that embody local resources and national knowledge and traditions of the country.

Abdurahmonzoda A. S. noted that the “One Village - One Product” initiative is aimed at identifying and utilizing the economic potential and opportunities of cities, districts, and villages, developing domestic production based on local raw materials and national traditions, adapting products to international quality standards, and strengthening export potential.

Since the beginning of the initiative in the country, a number of significant results have been achieved, such as the establishment of a Joint Steering Committee, the development of a roadmap with the identification of 100 priority product categories, the establishment of a production center in the city of Bokhtar, regular holding of national events, and active cooperation with more than 20 small businesses in 11 cities, employing more than 100 people and producing more than 100 types of products, including the development and production of 22 new product categories with the support of international experts.

The achievement of such achievements indicates that Tajikistan has favorable resources and opportunities for the successful implementation and further expansion of the “One Village - One Product” initiative, which contributes to the sustainable development of the local and national economy.
