On January 27, 2026, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, in cooperation with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry held a regular meeting of the Tajikistan–Pakistan Joint Business Council in an online format.

The meeting was attended by Anvarov Nasimjon Naimovich First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Saquib Fayyaz Magoon Senior Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, representatives of relevant ministries and agencies and more than 40 entrepreneurs from both countries.

During the meeting, the First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber delivered a speech on bilateral cooperation between the chambers of commerce, including existing opportunities for the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation. He invited the Pakistan side to actively participate in economic events and international exhibitions of the Republic of Tajikistan planned for 2026.

It was noted that the foreign trade turnover between Tajikistan and Pakistan amounted to 43 million US dollars in 2025. It was emphasized that the main objective of the meeting was to strengthen direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries, expand trade and investment cooperation and increase bilateral trade.

During the meeting, representatives of the relevant authorities of both countries delivered presentations. From the Republic of Tajikistan representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the State Unitary Enterprise “Tojinvest” under the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management participated and provided detailed information on free economic zones, investment opportunities in the Republic of Tajikistan and other areas of their activities.
