On April 15, 2026, a meeting was held in Dushanbe between Rahmonalizoda Farkhodshhoh Rahmonali, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Aimurad Bayrammuradovich Kochmuradov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Tajikistan.

At the beginning of the meeting, the parties emphasized the high level of friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries and noted the importance of further developing economic and trade cooperation.

Rahmonalizoda F.R. noted that in recent years, thanks to the wise and far-sighted policies of the heads of state, trade cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan has been developing positively, but there are still many untapped opportunities to increase bilateral trade.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Chamber noted the importance of intensifying the activities of the Council of Entrepreneurs of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan and expressed the Tajik side's readiness to hold the next meeting of the Council and related events in Dushanbe in the first half of 2026.

Furthermore, cooperation in renewable energy and green technologies was discussed, as well as the potential of Tajikistan's free economic zones to attract Turkmen investors.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand bilateral cooperation and implement joint projects.
