On June 4, 2026, a workshop on the simplification of trade procedures between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as the Chamber).
The aforementioned workshop was jointly organized by the Chamber, the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Representation of the Customs Service of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan.
The workshop was attended by Nasimjon Naimovich Anvarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber; representatives of the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan; representatives of the Export Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan; Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan, Vera Valeryevna Khutorskaya, the leadership of the Representation of the Customs Service of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan represented by Alexander Viktorovich Bartsaev; Alexander Leonidovich Rybas, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan; as well as business community representatives—exporters and importers of goods and products from/to the Republic of Tajikistan and from/to the Russian Federation.
During the aforementioned workshop, Sergey Nikolaevich Vashurin, Chief Specialist-Expert of the Representation of the Customs Service of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan, delivered a presentation on 'The Possibility of Applying Simplifications Provided by the Agreements on Mutual Recognition of the Authorized Economic Operator Frameworks and the Simplified Customs Corridor to Fulfill the Directive of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the Directive of the President of the Russian Federation, His Excellency,Vladimir Vladimiroвич Putin, on Increasing Trade Turnover Between Tajikistan and Russia.
Concurrently, representatives of the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan provided detailed information on the opportunities and preferences offered by the Republic of Tajikistan under bilateral agreements.
At the conclusion of the event, an open Q&A session was held between exporters and importers of goods from/to the Republic of Tajikistan and from/to the Russian Federation on one side, and representatives of the Representation of the Russian Customs Service in the RT and the RF Trade Representative in the RT on the other side. During this session, topical issues regarding the simplification of trade procedures between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation were discussed in detail.
