On August 21, 2026, a meeting was held between Farhodshoh Rahmonali Rahmonalizoda, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, and a delegation of Iranian entrepreneurs and investors headed by Amir Yousefi, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Golestan Province (Gorgan).
Farhodshoh Rahmonalizoda noted that, thanks to the farsighted and wise policies of the leaders of Tajikistan and Iran, foreign trade turnover and economic relations between the two friendly countries, which share close linguistic and cultural ties, have been steadily expanding, creating a solid foundation for the implementation of more advanced industrial projects.
During the meeting, Farhodshoh Rahmonalizoda delivered a detailed presentation on the country’s sustainable macroeconomic achievements, the structure of the Chamber’s specialized committees, and investment opportunities available in the Republic of Tajikistan. Particular attention was given to the country’s free economic zones, which offer tax and customs incentives for the establishment of joint ventures.
Mr. Amir Yousefi, in turn, highlighted the significant export potential of Golestan Province in the fields of agriculture, food processing and mining, and expressed the readiness of Iranian companies to introduce modern technologies and make direct investments.
As a practical outcome of the negotiations, a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Golestan Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The document provides a framework for strengthening direct ties between the private sectors and expanding bilateral trade between the respective regions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to organize joint business forums and direct B2B meetings between entrepreneurs of the two countries, strengthen the contractual framework for inter-chamber cooperation, and facilitate the signing of specific financial agreements.
The meeting concluded in an atmosphere of friendship, mutual understanding and constructive dialogue.
