MEETING OF THE DEPUTY CHAIRMAN OF THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY WITH THE DELEGATION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF FLANDERS OF THE KINGDOM OF BELGIUM

On 24 August 2026, a meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan between Deputy Chairman of the Chamber Rajabzoda Haydar Usmon and a delegation of the Government of Flanders of the Kingdom of Belgium, headed by Gilles Suetens, Head of the Protocol Service of the Government of Flanders.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the private sectors of both countries operating in the fields of pharmaceuticals, tourism, energy, mining, agriculture, emergency management, and other sectors.

The parties discussed the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Belgium and exchanged views on opportunities for expanding business relations.

The Belgian delegation was presented with Tajikistan’s economic and investment opportunities, priority areas of national economic development, and favorable conditions for investment activities. In this context, the parties discussed investment attraction, industrial development, import of modern equipment and technologies, establishment of joint ventures, development of e-commerce, and other areas of mutual interest.

During the meeting, it was noted that Tajikistan’s relations with European countries, including the Kingdom of Belgium, have been developing in recent years, creating favorable opportunities for further expansion of economic and investment cooperation.

The parties also emphasized the importance of strengthening direct ties between entrepreneurs and producers of Tajikistan and Flanders, organizing business and B2B meetings, exchanging experience, arranging study visits, and participating jointly in exhibitions, forums, and other sectoral and international events.

At the conclusion of the meeting, productive B2B meetings were held between representatives of the business communities of the two countries, and the parties expressed their readiness to continue mutually beneficial cooperation.
