On 21 September 2026, a meeting was held between Farhodshoh Rahmonalizoda, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Sun He, Counsellor for Trade and Economic Affairs of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the meeting, a range of sectoral issues related to the development of trade and investment relations in the private sector and the diversification of foreign trade were discussed.

The Chairman of the Chamber noted that, thanks to the wise and forward-looking policies of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Xi Jinping, trade and economic relations between Tajikistan and China have reached a new level of strategic partnership, creating a solid foundation for the development of the private sector and the attraction of foreign direct investment.

A key part of the meeting was devoted to discussing the organisation of the International Specialised Exhibition “Transport and Logistics of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO)” and the meeting of the SCO Business Council Working Group on Transport and Logistics, which are scheduled to take place on 19–21 October 2026 in Dushanbe.

The Chairman of the Chamber invited Mr. Sun He to facilitate the participation of major Chinese transport and logistics companies in the exhibition.

In turn, Mr. Sun He expressed the readiness of the Embassy of China to provide comprehensive support for the Chamber’s initiatives and to facilitate the mobilisation of Chinese business circles to participate in this important event.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and in a spirit of mutual understanding.
