A delegation of Tajik dried fruit producers is participating in the annual Gulfood exhibition in Dubai, running from January 26 to 30, 2026.
Seven leading companies from Isfara- Barakat Isfara, Isfarafood, Fruits Valley, Zardolui Isfara, Ali Apricot, Oro Isfara, Visol Isfara, and SUE “Tajagropromexport” - are among over 8,500 exhibitors from 195 countries, showcasing their products to international buyers. Two more Tajik companies and an industry association have joined the delegation as well.
The initiative is supported by the Government of Switzerland through the International Trade Centre’s Trade Promotion East project, in cooperation with the Export Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan.
Gulfood is one of the world’s largest food and beverage trade fairs, bringing together producers, buyers, and experts from across the globe to exchange ideas, explore innovations, and form partnerships.
The exhibition gives Tajik producers a platform to present their products, explore new business partnerships, and learn about emerging trends in regional and global markets.
Tolib Abdulakhatov, Export Promotion Manager of the International Association of Producers and Exporters of Agriproducts of Tajikistan (IAPEAT) said, “By showcasing the wide range of high-quality products our companies produce, we hope to attract international partners, distributors, and buyers, and build trade relationships that will benefit Tajikistan.”
At the Tajik stand, visitors can taste a variety of the country’s dried fruits, from sweet apricots and nuts to tangy cherries, as well as fruit bars, while learning about the craftsmanship behind these products.
Kamol Idrisov, Director of Visol Isfara , said, “This fair is the perfect place for Tajik companies to meet leading producers, introduce our brands to new markets, and understand what customers around the world are looking for.”
The delegation will also join panel discussions, seminars, and business forums, gaining insights into market demands and consumer trends that will help Tajik companies grow and compete internationally.
Through this participation, Tajik producers hope not only to expand export opportunities but also to share the rich flavors and traditions of Tajik dried fruits with the world.
About TPE and Swiss Cooperation
ITC’s Trade Promotion East (TPE) is funded by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) of the Swiss Confederation. Tajikistan is one of four countries, together with Uzbekistan, Albania, and Serbia, selected to be part of the TPE programme. The project will focus on the competitiveness and sustainable export growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the dried fruits sector, as well as improving the capacities of business support organizations (BSOs) to provide quality services to SMEs.
Over the last 30 years, around 500 million USD have been allocated in the form of grants to the Government of Tajikistan and the Tajik population. Within its Cooperation program for Central Asia (2022-2025), Switzerland will focus on supporting economic, social, and democratic development, promoting an integrated and regional approach in the complex field of transboundary water management, strengthening economic ties, and promoting good governance.
